Lecture Series
10 Days this Fall
In this lecture series I will attempt to give a broad overview of the territories we’ve visited in these seminars over the last few years, and to sketch a vision of a psychocosmology of the creative imagination derived from Henry Corbin and a multitude of others. I will no doubt fail—but I think the attempt will be useful nonetheless.
I’ve got a TENTATIVE list of titles, and TENTATIVE dates and times which I’ll make definite during the next week. I’m very much hoping that the series will have something to appeal to everyone in my cloud of friends, colleagues and associates. To reiterate: the lectures will be 60 minutes of me talking, and 30 minutes, more or less, of Q&A. So the massa confusa should be more manageable, and there will be a bit more space for you. Rather than two separate courses each meeting once a week, we’ll have one series of linked and comprehensive lectures meeting twice a week over the course of 10 (non-consecutive! watch the calendar!) weeks. Our meetings will be Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4pm New York time, as has long been the practice for our courses. Many of you can’t attend live, so as always everyone will get the recordings.
The courses have long been $300 for 8 weeks of 2 hour lectures, with scholarships available for those in need. That’s $20US per hour of lecture. So I will charge $20 for each lecture and throw in the Q&A gratis. Scholarships still available. I really do think (perhaps rightly) that this material would be of interest and utility to far more people than I genrally get in the classes. So maybe you all can tell friends about this and we can sweep in a few more people.
I expect to begin September 19 and run through to October 26. Firm dates coming soon. All sessions Tues or Thurs at 4pm NY time.
