Description
This 10 lecture series is a sketch of a cosmology of the imagination. The substance derives from the seminars we’ve been doing online for several years now, and those who’ve come along for the ride will know the basic topics. For newcomers, you should know that we’ll be drawing on the work of a wide variety of people in the arts, sciences and humanities to explore the function of creative imagination in our lives and in the more-than-human world we inhabit. It could help to be familiar with CG Jung, Henry Corbin or James Hillman, but it’s not necessary. I like to think that this vision of reality, or one like it, is accessible to anyone with an open mind and heart. And even if you don’t “understand” it, it may move you and be useful in your life. Nobody understands it. That’s not the point.
One advantage of the lecture series format is that it makes it clear (??) that you can sign up for one and see if you like it. I’m hoping to encourage new people to try my seminars, which I do expect to continue into the coming years. So if you’re interested, try one and see!
